McDougall’s Express Chondola

McDougall’s Express is your gateway to the entire mountain, combining 8-person gondola cabins and 6-seater chairs, ride to the summit in under 4 minutes. Located right next to the Base area, it’s New Zealand’s first gondola-style lift and opens up access to Cardrona’s wide beginner trails and diverse terrain. From here, the whole mountain is yours to explore.

Whitestar Express Quad

Whitestar Express is your gateway to New Zealand’s top freestyle snowboarding and skiing, offering prime access to the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest terrain park. Catch world-class riders in action or carve down blue trails that lead to epic freeride terrain in Arcadia Chutes.

Captain’s Express Quad

Captain’s Express takes you to the wide, open trails and incredible off-piste terrain of Captain’s Basin, home to some of New Zealand’s best snow. After a day of freeriding, unwind with a fresh pizza and craft beer at Captain’s Pizzeria on the sun-soaked deck.

Valley View Quad

Valley View Quad is where the locals ride, offering early access to fun intermediate trails and challenging off-piste runs below Cardrona’s Base. Start your day here and grab a quick coffee or snack at Little Meg Café before hitting the lifts.

Learners Area

Our Beginners' Area is set amongst our gentlest slopes and features three learner conveyors, including a kids' conveyor by the base for the littlest skiers and snowboarders. The main area boasts two more, with a covered tunnel on the long Learner Conveyor to keep you warm and dry.

Cardrona Parks

Cardrona is home to four of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest and best terrain parks. Whether you are skiing, riding or spectating, Cardrona’s terrain parks have something for everyone, including the only full-size Superpipe and World Cup slopestyle course in Australasia.

Home Basin Express

Home Basin Express is your entry to green, blue and red trails in the Home and Saddle Basins as you soak in stunning views of Lake Wānaka. Don’t miss Altitude Bar at the top of the lift, it’s the highest-altitude craft beer you can get!

Saddle Basin Quad

From the top of Home Basin, take the Saddle track to the Saddle Basin Quad, your lift to advanced and expert terrain, like the powdery Summit Slopes and notorious Motatapu Chutes.

Nice ‘n’ Easy Platter

Take it easy on TC’s conveyor, the Nice ‘n’ Easy Platter, conveniently located next to the Base Area. It helps you find your feet, or skis on the slopes before you progress to the chairlift.
