Cardrona

Cardrona has on-mountain medical facilities with doctors, nurses, physios, and ski patrollers available daily from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Emergency care is provided for all guests and staff, with referrals arranged if needed. Ski Patrol monitors safety on the slopes, and first aid kits and defibrillators are located throughout the resort.

Find Wānaka Physiotherapists in Cardrona’s Medical Centre. They provide highly qualified Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal physiotherapists and are the lead providers for the NZ World Cup Winter Performance Programme, Freeski, snowboard and alpine ski racing. Appointments can be made by phoning +64 3 443 0734 or visiting the Medical Centre reception at Cardrona. 

In case of accident/injury

  1. Protect the area by crossing your skis or snowboard(s) above the accident. 

  2. Contact ski patrol and inform them of the type of injury and location of the accident. Ski patrol can be contacted by: sending a strong skier or snowboarder (if safe to do so) to the bottom of the closest lift to radio for ski patrol, call +64 3 443 1576 and ask the operator to contact ski patrol, ski patrol huts are located at the top of Whitestar Express, Captain’s Express and Soho.

  3. Stay on scene to flag down ski patrol and provide details or assistance if required.

Treble Cone

Our on-mountain Medical Centre (located in the base lodge, downstairs near the main ticket office) is staffed by one doctor and a nurse. Ski patrol operates throughout the resort and works closely with the Medical Centre.

There are first aid kits throughout the resort & 2 Automated External Defibrillators. Overnight, there is a manager to assist with emergency health problems for apartment guests. We do not have x-ray facilities on-site.
